Description
Product for ophthalmic use for dogs, cats, non-DPA horses and pet rabbits consisting of a 2% sterile colloidal solution of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, to be used in the ophthalmic field for diagnostic purposes or as an ocular lubricant in operations on the eye.
It is characterized by the following chemical and physical properties: perfectly transparent, soluble in water in all proportions, stable at pH between 2 and 13, does not form insoluble precipitates with metal salts or with organic residues that may be present. The hydroxypropyl methylcellulose content, at a temperature of 20°C, results in a viscosity degree equal to 4,000 cPs (centipoise).
Due to these characteristics and the high degree of viscosity placed on the cornea, it allows the use of contact glasses for diagnostic purposes.

How to use
- Remove the safety ring by lifting the tab, remove the bottle cap and take it between the thumb and forefinger of the dominant hand.
- Hold the animal's head still by holding the muzzle with your non-dominant hand.
- Position the dominant hand sideways above the animal's head so that you can gently pull the upper eyelid with the outer edge of the little finger to facilitate eye exposure.
- Place the bottle over the eye and instill the necessary amount of drops by exerting slight pressure on the body of the bottle.
- Reward the animal after application.

Components
Purified water, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose 2%, sodium chloride, sodium methiolate.

Warnings
- To avoid the formation of air bubbles inside the bottle, it is recommended to keep it upside down.
- Ophthalmic product for veterinary use.
- Avoid touching the eye with the tip of the bottle.
- Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package.
- Leave 10-15 minutes between instillation of Viscostil and any instillation of medicines or products for external ophthalmic use.
- Do not use in case of subjective hypersensitivity or known incompatibility towards any component of the preparation.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.
