VISION
Description
Rapid antigen test based on the double antibody sandwich method for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigens in human nasal swab capions.
Nasal swab specimens can be collected on their own from individuals over the age of 15. For individuals between the ages of 2 and 15, sample collection and testing should be done by an adult (over 18 years of age).
How to use
Test preparation:
- Wash your hands.
- Before proceeding with the test, please read the instructions and scan the QR code for the instruction video.
- Check the expiration date on the test package.
- Open the aluminum wrapping and remove the cassette. Place the cassette on a flat surface. The package contains silica gel. Silica gel is used to absorb moisture and keep the test cassette dry.
Procedure to perform the test:
1. Wash your hands.
2. Remove the sterile swab from the package. Note: Do not touch the tip of the specimen.
3. Tilt your head back slightly. Carefully insert the entire swab tip to approximately 2 to 2.5 cm (1 inch) into the nostril.
4. Using light pressure, rotate the cotton ball 5-7 times (approximately 15 seconds in total) against the inside of the nostril, then remove it from the nose. Using the same swab, repeat this process for the other nostril.
5. Remove the sterile swab from the nostril.
6. Break off the top of the tube cap.
7. Add 2 drops of sample to the test cassette well and start the timer. The sample / conjugate complex will migrate across the dinitrocellulose membrane. If the membrane is still dry within 15 seconds of adding the 2 drops, add 1 additional drop from the tube to the sample well of the test cassette.
8.% Egrave; The result can be read on the test cassette after 15 minutes.
9. Dispose of all materials according to your local bio-waste disposal protocol once the test is complete.
10. Wash your hands again.
Interpretation of results:
Positive result: Two colored lines appear on the membrane. One line appears in the control area (C) and another line appears in the test line (T).
Negative result: Only one colored line appears in the control area (C). There is no colored line in the test line area (T).
Invalid Result: There is no control line (C) or only the test line (T) appears in the result area. The test was not performed correctly and the results are not considered valid.
Warnings
1. You must follow the instructions in the kit.
2. Children aged 2 to 15 must have a swab and subsequent test by an adult (over 18 years of age).
3. Act in strict accordance with the instructions.
4. Completely return the Test Cassette to room temperature before use.
5. Leave the sealed Test Cassette in its pouch until shortly before use.
6. Remove the Test Cassette from the pouch and place it on a flat, dry surface.
7. Use only the components supplied. Do not substitute the reagent solution with any other liquid.
8. After the sample is collected, immediately add it to the reagent solution.
9. Keep the test cassette on a flat surface and avoid moving the cassette until the result is displayed.
10. Remove the test from other substances during the test.
11. Keep out of the reach of children in order to prevent its ingestion and consequent suffocation.
