Dosage and method of use

We recommend taking one capsule a day, to be swallowed with a sip of water with main meals.

Characteristics

Food supplement with antioxidant action factors with Coenzyme Q10, Superba ™ Krill oil containing Omega 3 (linked to phospholipids), Vitamins C and E, Lutein, Zeaxanthin and Selenium.

Property

Coenzyme Q10 : bio fat-soluble molecule synthesized by the body. It is a component of all cell membranes and in particular of mitochondrial membranes (mitochondria are intracellular organelles that allow cells to breathe and supply energy to them).
Furthermore, due to its antioxidant capacity, particularly in its reduced form, it is considered important in delaying the processes of aging and cellular degeneration.

Superba ™ Krill : oil extracted from the Antarctic Krill crustacean (Euphausia Superba) containing long-chain polyunsaturated Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) in phospholipid form. Omega 3s are "essential" fatty acids since our body is unable to synthesize them.
Since phospholipids are the main constituents of cell membranes, binding to Omega 3 makes them key "structural" components of cell membranes. EPA and DHA are essential for a physiological function at the retinal level.

Vitamin E: (α-tocopherol) of lipophilic nature, plays its antioxidant role in counteracting the oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids of cell membranes.

Vitamin C : water-soluble in nature, it plays an antioxidant role as it neutralizes the free radicals responsible for cellular oxidative damage; it is also important for the synthesis of collagen in the body.

Lutein and Zeaxanthin : carotenoids with antioxidant properties. They constitute the pigment selectively present in the retina and particularly concentrated in the macula, where they exercise a protective mechanism from exposure to low wavelengths of visible light. Their macular concentration is decreased in patients with Age-Related Macular Degeneration.

Selenium : essential trace element for the body, it acts mainly as a component of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which works together with Vitamin E in counteracting the damage produced by free radicals to cell membranes; it also delays the oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids.
