VisuXL® GEL VisuFarma Ophthalmic Gel

Visuxl Gel is a preservative-free lubricating and antioxidant ophthalmic gel based on coenzyme Q10, vitamin E TPGS and cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose, suitable for both day and night use.

Sodium cross-linked carboxymethylcellulose is an extremely safe and inert biosynthetic substance, more effective and durable over time. Its cross-linking and the lack of specific enzymes capable of degrading the molecule at the ocular surface level stabilizes the polymer giving it a longer half-life compared to classic hyaluronic acids. Furthermore, the cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose is a hydrogel which in its native state has specific characteristics of visco-supplementation, hydration, mucomimetics and substance conveyance.

The combination of cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose and antioxidant / anti-radical substances gives Visuxl Gel a more effective action in cases of:

• Trauma from a foreign body;
• Alterations in the continuity of the corneal and conjunctival surface after refractive corneal surgery;
• Cornea transplant;
• To alleviate the typical post-surgical symptoms by acting as a cushion between the eyelid and the corneal and conjunctival epithelium;
• Alterations of the ocular surface linked to metabolic pathologies (diabetes).

How to use

Instill 1 drop of Visuxl Gel into the conjunctival sac of each eye 2 times a day or according to a different opinion from your ophthalmologist.

Application:

• Remove the protective cap;
• Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac of each eye by gently pulling the lower eyelid down and looking up. Dispense the product by lightly pressing the bottle;
• After use, close the bottle immediately: the solution can be reused within 60 days after first opening.

Components

100 ml of Visuxl Gel contain: Coenzyme Q 10 100 mg, vitamin E TPGS (D-alpha-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1,000 succinate) 500 mg, cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose 400 mg, poloxamer 407 9,000 mg, disodium EDTA 100 mg, buffered isotonic solution qs 100 ml.

Warnings

Do not use the product if allergic or hypersensitive to any of the components. In the event of adverse reactions, discontinue use by contacting your ophthalmologist. The product can also be instilled during the use of contact lenses: it does not alter their characteristics, it can possibly contribute to the hydration of soft contact lenses. Instill the product at least 5 minutes after using other medications. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package. Wash your hands before applying the product. Do not touch your eyes with the tip of the bottle. Do not use the bottle if it is damaged. Ophthalmic use, do not ingest.

storage

The product maintains its sterility up to 60 days from the first opening of the bottle.
The expiry date indicated refers to the product in intact and correctly stored packaging.
Keep the product away from sources of light, heat and the reach of children. Store the product at room temperature (15-25 ° C).
Validity for intact packaging: 24 months.
