Vitamin C (plant-derived ascorbic acid) is in our formula enriched with concentrated Rosehip extract in the drug / extract ratio 20: 1. Vitamin C plays important roles in counteracting the effects of aging, it also helps in the healing of wounds and bone fractures and in maintaining healthy gums. Rosa canina is a shrub belonging to the Rosaceae family, the woody plant generally does not exceed three meters in height. Fruits contain tannins, nicotinic acid, carotenoids, vitamins C and P, riboflavin, malic and citric acids, flavonoids (bioflavonoids, phytoestrogens), pectins and carbohydrates. More in detail, the fruits are a mine of tannins and ascorbic acid, when ripe they normally contain as much as 5% of ascorbic acid. A remarkable quantity if you consider that an ideal 100 gram orange provides approximately 50 mg of vitamin C and at the same quantity, Rosehip ensures over 2,200 mg.
It is useful to consume this supplement in all periods during which the body requires a greater intake.
