Of all the Vitamins, Vitamin C is the most unstable and easily degrades: it is soluble in water, it is photosensitive and is damaged by oxidizing agents. It is found mainly in the pituitary, adrenal glands, lens, liver and brain. The body is unable to produce Vitamin C and must therefore obtain it through food. To maintain a correct level of Vitamin C in the blood, it must be taken constantly and if the diet does not provide it in adequate doses, it must be supplemented with special products.
