MAIN FEATURES

Vitamin D is produced for 90% by the human body and synthesized through the absorption of sunlight at the level of the dermis. The remaining 10% is introduced with food.
Vitamin D is present in food in two forms: ergocalciferol (D2) (mainly in plants) and cholecalciferol (D3) (in products of animal origin). The latter is the most active form.

The people most at risk of vitamin D deficiency are women (particularly during the last trimester of pregnancy, during breastfeeding or in pre and post menopause), infants, the elderly, obese and people of color.
A vitamin D deficiency is greater in the winter months when exposure to sunlight is unable to ensure the necessary synthesis of vitamin D in the skin.

Vitamin D is fat-soluble and the quantity introduced with the diet or through food supplementation accumulates in the adipose and muscle tissues as a necessary supply during periods of greatest need.

METHOD OF USE
