The complex of 3 ceramides (ceramide 1, ceramide 3 and ceramide 6), cholesterol, fatty acids and phytosphingosine is a concentrate of lipids identical to the fundamental lipids of the epidermis organized in a multi-lamellar system similar to the lipid structure of the stratum corneum which helps to recover the protective function of the skin. Topical application of this complex increases hydration and protection, making the skin less sensitive and dry.
- VEGETABLE PHYTOSTEROLS and PHOSPHOLIPIDS. Phytosterols are plant sterols that soothe the skin by reducing inflammatory mediators (prostaglandins and leukotrienes).
