Glucosamine and collagen are involved in the formation of connective tissues. The connective tissues of the organism, with aging or in particular conditions, undergo alterations. These tissues (of which the body of the eye is an example) are made up of specialized cells, a fibrillar matrix and water. The fundamental components of the matrix are collagen, hyaluronic acid and hyproteoglycans.
These fibrillar molecules act as structural support but, physiologically, they are subject to oxidative or enzymatic degradation processes, balanced by continuous synthesis. With aging or in particular conditions, degenerative processes prevail over synthesis ones: it would therefore be necessary to intervene by contrasting the former and stimulating the latter. In particular, chondroitin sulphate and laglucosamine are fundamental substances for the structure of the connective tissues.
The formulation of Vitreoclar ORO as well as glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate, contains a grape seed extract (Vitis vinifera) with a strong antioxidant activity, able to counteract the harmful effects caused by free radicals. Finally, vitamin E counteracts the oxidative processes that are often responsible for damage at the cellular level. Vitreoclar ORO is indicated in essential substances due to an increased need or decreased dietary intake of its components, especially in particular age groups (infancy or third age) in which the buccal stick formulation facilitates its administration.
