Vliwasorb® Super Absorbent Dressing 10x20cm Lohmann & Rauscher

Superabsorbent structure which, immersed in a liquid, absorbs a multiple of its own weight and hardly releases the bound exudate even under mechanical pressure. Thus, the edges of the wound are protected from maceration. Vliwasorb is particularly suitable under compression dressings.

Vliwasorb saves time and money by reducing the number of dressing changes required. The number of dressing changes allows for greater wound rest. The risk of infection is decreased by absorbing and binding germs in the wound dressing. Thanks to the absorption of exudate, necrotic tissue and cellular debris (residues), the cleansing of the wound is achieved and wound healing is favored thanks to the moist environment.

Fields of application

wounds with abundant exudate
superficial wounds in the exudative phase, eg. :

arterial and venous ulcers
burns and scalds (Grade III: after surgical debridement)

post-operative wounds, healed by secondary intention
laparotomy lesions
fistulas
