The product consists of a pen needle, which can be fixed with a protective seal, a protective cap for the needle and an external protective cap. The outer cap serves to maintain needle sterility as this protects both the needle and the inner cap.
The needle can be connected to the pen, which can be protected from physical damage thanks to the internal protective cap cover. Also included is a non-toxic and non-pyrogenic sterile fluid pathway. The device works on the common principle of piston syringes.
The device is indicated for subcutaneous injections of insulin for the treatment of diabetes.
Sterilized product with Ethylene Oxide.
