Zylkene® is a palatable complementary feed with a natural original main ingredient deriving from cow's milk casein, easy to use, which contributes to the well-being of dogs and cats thanks to a derivative of milk protein, also useful in situations of discomfort.

What does it contain?

Zylkene® contains alpha-casezepine, a molecule derived from milk proteins.

When to use it?

Zylkene® comes into play as a valuable support for dogs and cats (and their owners) when they have to adapt to new environments or new situations that disturb them, both in the short and long term.

What formats is it available in?

Zylkene® is available in three references: 75 mg for cats and small dogs, 225 mg for medium-sized dogs and 450 mg for large dogs, in the traditional capsule formulation - boxes of 20 capsules in blister packs.

How is Zylkene® used?

Zylkene® is easy to use, also thanks to its palatability.
Zylkene® comes in the form of openable CAPSULES that contain a palatable powder, appreciated by both dogs and cats. The capsules can be supplied whole or, once opened, by pouring the powder onto the pet's food. It is important that there is always water available to the animal.

Zylkene® 75 mg up to 5 kg: 1 capsule per day 5 - 10 kg: 2 capsules per day
Zylkene® 225 mg 10 - 15 kg: 1 capsule per day 15 - 30 kg: 2 capsules per day
Zylkene® 450 mg 15 - 30 kg: 1 capsule per day 30 - 60 kg: 2 capsules per day

How long?

For short-term use, start using Zylkene® 1-2 days before the distress situation or anticipated event. In some cases it may be necessary to start even 5 or 7 days earlier.
It is necessary to use the recommended daily amount for the duration of the event that disturbs the animal.

What if the uncomfortable situation lasts over time?

You can also use Zylkene® for long periods, one or more months, but to ensure the animal's well-being, it must be reassessed after a month with the help of the Veterinarian. In some cases, such as when your pet has to stay alone at home or a new puppy / kitten is expected to arrive, a behavioral re-education program is recommended to help recover the correct behavior and maintain it over time.
